And So It Begins

Wed Dec 2, 2009, 6:25 PM
In deciding to write something special for my 50th submission, I have started a work much greater than I had anticipated. I had originally figured I would write it (nothing grand) with the hopes of it attracting "customers", and expand my...fanbase? I don't know. But now...

But NOW, I really am going to pursue the continuation of my "fantasy story", developing off of nothing but an idea already at the end, and becoming a full-fledged concept. I have an outline crossing three "books", going back to the beginning before returning to the climax with which this venture started. There's plenty to keep me (and you, the reader) interested: there are multiple characters, plot, fight scenes, and more!

I even have the names of the three "books" already determined:
Part One: Darkness Comes
Part Two: Proving Your Worth
Part Three: Stand Up to Destiny

The first has my least favorite title, and I fear may be the driest and least interesting of the three parts. I always have trouble with the opening to a story; establishing characters, introducing the plot, etc. At the moment, my favorite is definitely the second; it is the thickest story-wise, and will probably be the best of the three. And then of course comes the third, where the entire story goes back to the Beginning of the End, returning to the climax. I can't wait to get started!

Edit: HOWEVER, I might not post it here until I'm more-or-less satisfied with my story on paper. I won't write the whole thing first; good god no, that wouldn't be fair to those interested. I will, though, begin it on paper, get my ideas down and the story started. Then I'll post what I'm comfortable with, piece by piece. Gotta keep you roped in somehow, right?

Edit2: God of War I and II re-released for the PS3 with trophies = 36 hour GoW MARATHON FTW!
